Bio:

Gabrielle Dunayski is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, whose expressive work passionately deconstructs biblical motifs and religious recollections, provocatively exploring perverted themes in Western Christianity.

Through painting, drawing, writing, and performative films, Dunayski has cultivated a unique vocabulary of figural gestures that exhibit the effects of PTSD on memory and the somatic system. Using distortion and layered compositions, her work vividly conveys the intricate interplay between personal memory and external stimuli, and engages in larger psychological, philosophical, and political dialogues.

Currently, Dunayski works in Los Angeles, and continues to evolve her practice into new mediums and materials.
