Kristi Head creates evocative paintings that explore relationships and emotion through imagined flora, fantasy landscapes, and enigmatic figures. Primarily an oil painter, she also designs and executes murals and has an experimental studio practice that includes large-scale canvas dyeing.
Born in Huntington, NY, Kristi began her classical training at a fine arts preparatory school and earned a dual BA in Fine Arts and Art History from Boston University. She has furthered her education at institutions like Parsons School of Design and Anderson Ranch Arts Center. Her artwork has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, and Santa Fe, and her work has been featured in publications such as Domino, Surface, and Full Blede. A former New Yorker, she now lives and works in Los Angeles.
